One of the attractions to which you must attend if you visit Rome

Often when you visit Rome you plan to go to the Vatican, the Colosseum, the Imperial Forums and the Circus Maximus and perhaps omit habit that for years characterize the Eternal City.

Every day at 12 o'clock evokes the ritual firing of the cannon from one of the most picturesque hills of the capital, where it overlooks a breathtaking view: the "Gianicolo".

The use of marking time with a cannon was introduced by Pope Pius IX on December 1, 1847, to have a unique signal of the official, rather than the sound of church bells uncoordinated towns.
After many vicissitudes, and the two world wars, the shot that marks the south is back to shoot 21 April 1959 and since then continues to mark the 12 hours of the Romans all.

This post today is dedicated to my parents that I wore as a child in this place so charming and full of history. And I do the same with my children.

¡Suggestion!

Handed down something beautiful and historic your children and they will do the same when they'll grow up
